A Responsibility matrix is a tool used in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process that allows users to assign a team or an individual to their respective matched content from the RFP, so that the assigned team or user is responsible for providing response in the proposal.

Using a Responsibility matrix in the RFP process helps to ensure that everyone involved in the project knows their responsibilities, which can reduce confusion and mistakes. Also, it helps identify any missing responsibilities that need to be filled. Overall, it helps to keep the project on track and deliver it successfully and helps users understand each teams responsibility for a particular RFP. With this, we can decide if a team can take up a task, based on their bandwidth.

Responsibility Matrix view

The Responsibility Matrix screen lists the requirements from the shredded source documents, and supports the following features:

1. Navigation: Following the breadcrumb, users can go back to the Requirements Analysis tab or click on the project name to go to the Projects page.
2. Search: Search the contents of the requirements with keywords or by category or document name.
3. Toggle: Switch the view to display All shredded sentences/paragraphs or just the requirements.
4. Menu Button: The menu houses the following options:
   • View Matrix Configuration: View the configuration options used to generate the responsibility matrix.
   • Delete Matrix: Delete the generated matrix from the workspace.
5. Export: Export the list of requirements to work on them offline.
6. Responsibility Matrix View: Displays the list of requirements cross-referenced with the fields set in the matrix structure.
7. Customize Columns: Customize the list of visible columns in the responsibility matrix.
