Overview
When a questionnaire asks that you select one answer from a row across multiple columns, use a multi-column drop-down as the answer type. Users can choose the multi-column drop-down answer type while configuring the Excel file.
Question 1 has four possible responses in columns B, C, D, and E and you are being asked to provide your response in one of the columns to fulfill the question requirements.
Using multi-column drop-downs as answer types in Excel
- Select the Answer column and map it with Answer from the right menu options.

- When the Answer Configuration pop-up displays, change the Answer Header to Response and select Dropdown for the Answer Type.
- Add the required answer options.
- Click Add Answer Option to add more values if needed; then click Save.
- Click Import to import the file.
- On the Answering page, choose a value from the Select the Value drop-down.

- On the Answering Page, answer the questions and export the responses in the source.
Note: Upon export the responses can be found in the exact column.
