This guide provides content formatting best practices for Projects and the Content Library.
While importing documents or copying and pasting content into the Content Library, and there are bullets present in the answer, the formatting changes to the default Responsive bullet type (Disc).
After uploading or pasting your content you can modify the bullet type to any of the following supported types:
Circle
Disc
Square
While importing Excel documents or copying and pasting plain text content into the Content Library, any font family other than the default Responsive font (Source Sans Pro) is changed to the default Responsive font.

When adding Q&A pairs in the Content Library via copying and pasting, any images included in what is being copied from the file isn't displayed when pasted.
When adding answers that involve images, we recommend either adding them as attachments or embedding them into the Answer field.
When importing Microsoft Excel files, the font family and size are not retained; instead, they are imported as Basic Rich Text with the default Responsive font family and size.
You can:
Modify the font family and size by using the Basic Rich Text or Full Rich Text editor (depending on the Answer Type) after import.
Change the Answer Type to Full Rich Text during import. If you are exporting into a template, you can include text with images and adjust the formatting.
Update the formatting in bulk by using the Format Text tool in the Content Library menu.
Any images, tables, or items within the Developer console do not display in the application upon importing to a project.
We recommend removing the Content Control settings before importing the file to Responsive in order to maintain these items.
When importing Q&A pairs into the Content Library, you can upload files in the following formats:
Microsoft Word (.docx)
Microsoft Excel (.xls, .xlsx)
When uploading files to the Content Library as documents (not Q&A pairs), most common file types are supported.
The following file types are not supported:
Java Archive (.jar)
Batch File (.bat)
Windows Installer Package (.msi)
Android Package (.apk)
Compressed Cabinet (.cab)
Binary Data (.bin)
JavaScript (.js)
ECMAScript (.js)
HTML Content (.html)
HTML Help File (.chm)
Java Source Code (.java)
Comma-Separated Values (.csv)
ADPCM Audio (.adp)
MDX (.mdx)
If you have a document formatted as a PDF that you would like to import into the Answer Library, we recommend converting the PDF file to a Word file (.docx) and then importing it.
Projects only supports .docx, .xls, .xlsx, and .pdf formats during import.
If you have content in another format, we recommend converting it to any of the Responsive supported file types prior to import.
If you have a PDF file and you want to export to source, you will have to convert the file to a supported file type (.docx) prior to importing it into a project. After you export the project, you can then convert it back to a PDF.
Tables in PDF files do not display properly on import.
We recommend uploading the original DOCX file or converting the PDF to DOCX prior to import.
Embedded files (other than images) are not be retained or displayed in Responsive during import.
We recommend including content from the embedded file in the main document prior to import.
Hidden columns in imported Excel files are not imported to Responsive.
We recommend importing the Excel file after unhiding the hidden columns so that these columns are also imported into Responsive.
