OneLogin SCIM configuration

Overview

OneLogin gives users the ability to access the applications and other resources they need to do their job by logging in once to a single interface.

OneLogin configuration

  1. Login to OneLogin and click Administration.
  2. Click Applications and select Applications, then click Add App.
  3. Search for and select RFPIO, then click Save.
  4. Click Configuration, then click Enable and enter the value for SCIM Bearer Token.
    • You can generate the value of the SCIM Bearer Token from Responsive's Organization Settings > My Organization > Security > SSO/SCIM > SCIM. If the SAML SSO feature is not visible, contact your Account Manager.
      Note: Multiple SSOs can be created for a single client instance. If required, raise a support ticket. Once approved, the team will enable it for the client.
    • Copy the generated token and paste it into the SCIM Bearer Token field of OneLogin.
  5. Enter App as the SCIM Instance value, then click Save.
  6. Click Users and select Custom User Fields, then click New User Field.
  7. Enter rpfio_user_role as the value for the Name and Shortname fields.
  8. Add another new user field and enter rfpio_business_unit as the value for the Name and Shortname fields.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Go to the Responsive app in OneLogin and click Provisioning, then select Enable Provisioning and disable all other checkboxes.
  11. Click Save, then click Parameters.
  12. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Cost Center, then edit the information as follows:
    • Select rfpio_business_unit from the Value field.
    • Click the Include in User Provisioning checkbox.
  13. Click Save.
  14. Click Role and edit the information as follows:
    • Select rfpio_user_role from the Value field.
    • Select Include in User Provisioning.
  15. Click Save to enable the optional parameters.
  16. Click Save.

Provisioning users in Responsive

Adding users

Users and their role will be added to Responsive once they are assigned to the SCIM application.

  1. Click the Users tab and select Users, then search for the user for you want to provision and click their name.
  2. Click Applications from the left pane and click the Add button.
  3. Select Responsive from the Application drop-down and click Continue.
  4. Enter the values for the Role and Cost Center fields, then click Save.
    • Once the user is successfully provisioned, they'll appear on the OneLogin Users page and the User Management page in Organization Settings in Responsive.
    • If the role or Business Unit (BU) is not specified in the user profile, the default role (Team Member) and default BU will be assigned to the user.

Updating users

User profiles will be updated in Responsive if any of the below attributes are modified for the assigned application user in OneLogin.
Note: Email, user role, and BU cannot be updated, they can be set only during user creation.

  • Given name
  • Family name
  • Primary phone
  • Title
  • Time Zone

Deleting users

If users are removed from the SCIM application, they will be rendered inactive in Responsive.

  1. Click the Users tab and select Users.
  2. Search for the user for you want to delete in OneLogin.
  3. Click Delete, then click OK on the confirmation pop-up. The user will be displayed as inactive on the User Management page in Organization Settings in Responsive.
