Using the Responsive out of office feature
Updated 5 months ago

Overview

The Responsive out of office (OOO) function automatically notifies senders about the non-availability of users who have their OOO notifications enabled, and an OOO mceclip4.png icon appears next to their name as an indicator.

The notification setting remains enabled until the OOO flag is disabled in the user's email account and they log back into Responsive.

Using the OOO feature in Gmail

  1. Go to the Gmail settings and click the Vacation responder on radio button.
  2. Click Save Changes. Once active, the following occurs when sections or questions are assigned to users who are OOO:
    • Responsive sends the notification to the user, and Gmail sends the OOO email to Responsive.
    • Once Responsive receives the OOO response from Gmail, the application notifies the sender with an email.
    • Along with the notification, the OOO indicator appears.

Using the OOO feature in Exchange

  1. Go to the Exchange settings and select Automatic Replies, then click the Send automatic replies radio button.
  2. Click the Send automatic replies to all external senders and specify a reply message.
  3. Click Ok.
