Overview
Theme files (Response templates) are essentially Word documents equipped with predefined styles that allow you to seamlessly integrate your corporate branding into your proposals.
- They determine the style, formatting, and layout of the documents to which they are applied.
- You can upload a new theme file or choose from the existing list.
- You can include images, boilerplate text, branding colors, accents, define table layouts, lists, table of contents, and much more to customize the proposal and give it a personalized look and feel.

Adding Theme files (Response templates) to Proposal templates
- Upload a new theme file or choose from the existing list. You can:
Note: You can skip choosing themes and proceed to the next step by selecting I’ll do this later. If skipped, the preview uses Responsive's default theme.

- Search the library.
- View and Sorting options for the library.
- Add a new theme to the library.
- List of themes in the library.
- Add: Click to add the theme to the proposal.
- Added: Indicates that the theme has been added to the proposal.
- List of themes that have been added to the proposal.
- Set as Default: Indicates the theme that is currently the default for the proposal.
- Preview: Displays a preview of theme.
- Remove: Remove the theme from the proposal.
- Open the library in a new browser tab.
- Click Next.
Uploading new Theme files
- Click Add New Theme.
- Complete the theme details:
- Enter a Theme Name.
Note: The Project Type is set to Proposal by default and cannot be modified. - Click Upload File and upload your file.
- Add tags and map your styles with the elements of the proposal. Style selections include:
- Section Style: Level 1 = Section; Level 2 = Subsection; Level 3 = Sub-subsection (sub-subsections can be created manually)
- Question Style: Level 1 = Question; Level 2 = Sub-question; Level 3 = Sub-sub-question (sub-sub-questions can be created manually)
- Answer Style: Applies to all answers
- Font: Choose Application Font or select Use Template Font to apply the responses to a template style you have defined.
- Response Prefix: Adds text that appears before each response (optional)
- Indent: Choose if you want to retain or disregard indentation of responses (optional)
- Table Style: Applies to the tables
- Catalog Header Style: Applies to the catalog headers
- Click Save.
Note: If multiple theme files are added to the proposal template, they will be presented as choices for the proposal author to select from.
