Receiving Signed Documents as a ZIP File – New Preference SettingSimplify contract management with the new ZIP download preference. Receive all signed documents in one compressed file for faster access and better organization.
Updated 4 months ago

Overview

As part of a major product update, we’ve introduced a new Preferences option that gives users more control over how they receive completed documents. You can now choose whether signed documents (envelopes) are delivered as:

  • A single ZIP file containing all the signed files, or

  • Individual PDF of signed files

This update enhances flexibility for users who prefer working with separate PDFs while maintaining the convenience of a consolidated ZIP file for those who prefer the existing workflow.

What’s New?

New Preference: Receive Signed Documents as ZIP

A new checkbox “Receive Signed Documents as ZIP” has been added to your account preferences.

  • When enabled, all signed documents are grouped into one ZIP file. This is the default setting.

  • When disabled, each completed document is sent as a separate PDF.

Note: If “Merge signed document and certificate” is ON, then this setting is discarded and you will always receive a single PDF with documents and audit trail combined.

This option allows you to customize how you want to receive finalized envelopes based on your internal workflow or document management needs.

Default Behavior (No Change for Existing Customers)

To ensure a seamless experience, this new preference is turned ON by default.

This means:

  • You will continue receiving envelopes the same way you do today—as a ZIP file.

  • No action is required unless you want to switch to receiving individual PDFs.

Where to Find This Setting

  1. Navigate to Settings → Preferences.

  2. Scroll to the section titled “Receive Signed Documents as ZIP”.

  3. Toggle the checkbox ON or OFF depending on your preference.

Why This Is Useful

  • Better organization: ZIP files keep multi-document envelopes bundled together.

  • Greater flexibility: Separate PDFs make it easy to upload or share individual files without extraction.

  • Customizable workflow: Each user can choose the format that works best for them.
