User roles & privileges related to Protect customer users

Smartnumbers Protect has three (3) user roles.

The roles are:

  1. User management role

  2. Telephony management role

  3. Protect role

1. User management role

This role allows the configured user to:

  • Add, Edit or Delete users within the Protect tenancy.

    • Adjust privileges of the Protect role.

  • View the Audit Trail

  • API Management

    • Create a new set of credentials

    • View permissions for previously created credentials

    • Delete credentials

When a user login in, that has the User Management privileges, they are greeted with the account home page. From here they can access the relevant User Management sections.

Below is a view of the User area, where configured users are displayed and their associated privileges. From here Users can be added, edited and deleted as required.

Below is a view of the Audit Trail area, which provides a log of changes made within the portal.

Below is a view of the API Management area. From here API credentials can be generated, Viewed, or Deleted

2. Telephony management role

This role allows the user to create, edit, assign numbers to, and delete any call flows. The role also allows the user to export or import call flows.

This role is not applicable for customers on BT GSIP or native CCaaS integrations.

3. Protect role

There are 5 configurable privileges that every user can be assigned. Basic access is mandatory, but users can have any combination of the other privileges.

Description

Basic access (read only)

User has access to

  • View & search calls

  • View fraudster profiles

  • View (only) the Allowlist and Denylist

  • Export call report (CSV)

  • View Intelligence Requests

Caller Profile (requires Basic access)

  • User can view Caller Profile to identify linked calls from the same caller

Decision and Feedback (requires Basic access)

User can

  • Apply decisions, fraudster profiles, methods, fraud types, and labels to calls

  • Create fraudster profiles

  • Create and participate in Intelligence Requests

Manage Allowlist

  • User can add or remove entries in the Allowlist

    • Using CSV upload

Manage Denylist

  • User can add or remove entries in the Denylist

    • Using CSV upload

    • From a call

Intelligence Contributor (requires Basic access)

NEW

  • Participate (reply, assign) in requests they created or are assigned to

  • Read only access for requests they did not create or are not assigned to

  • Receive email notifications for Intelligence Requests they created or are assigned to

Intelligence Manager (requires Basic access)

NEW

  • View and participate in all requests

  • Receive email notifications for Intelligence Requests
