Collaborate with Your Team

The NovoEd platform provides many different options for collaborating online with your team, including:

  • Writing on the Team Message Board

  • Collaborate on Documents

  • Share Your Work

  • Schedule a Meeting

  • Using Other Third-Party Tools

After any new activity in the team workspace, your teammates will receive an email alert and notification that something new has occurred in the Team Workspace.

 

Writing on the Team Message Board

Engage with your team on the Team Message Board. The discussion posts are visible to all team members and course administrators.

 

To write on the Team Message Board:

  1. Select your team's icon from the left-side panel.

  2. Your team's workspace will appear on the left side of the screen.

  3. From the Team Workspace > Activity tab, you can enter a private message to your team in the Write something... box.

  4. Select the blue Post button when finished.

Collaborate on Documents

You can also use the Team Workspace to upload a document and share it with your teammates. Team members can then reply to your post with feedback.

 

To upload a document:

  1. Visit the team workspace.

  2. Select the Upload a Document icon.

  3. Upload your file and add notes.

  4. Select the blue Post button when finished.

File sizes of up to 750MB and the following types of files are accepted: .doc, .docx, or .pdf; .ppt, .pptx; .jpeg, .jpg, or .png; .xls or .xlsx; .mp4, .mov, .avi, or .flv.

 

Your team members will have the ability to download your documents.

Share Your Work

You can share any of your previously submitted submissions from the course directly with your teammates to get their comments/feedback.

To share your work with your team:

  1. Visit the team workspace.

  2. Select the Share Your Work icon.

  3. A menu of your previous submissions with appear. Select which submission you would like to add to your post. Add a message.

  4. Select the blue Post button.

Schedule a Meeting

You can propose a meeting using the "Create a Meeting" button. We recommend first sharing a few times/dates over the messaging board to find a good time. 

 

  1. From the left-side navigation panel, select your team's icon.

  2. Select the Create a Meeting icon.

  3. If your organization has the Microsoft Teams Integration enabled the option to create a Microsoft Teams Meeting will be available. You can also add an external link to create a meeting.

  4. Enter the following information for the meeting:
    -Meeting Title
    -Meeting Goal
    -Location (External Link)
    -Meeting Time

  5. Select the blue Schedule button.

Please note:
You must authorize your own Microsoft Teams account when creating the event.

When a Microsoft Teams meeting appears it will show in the team workspace. The "Join Now" button will be available 10 minutes before the meeting start time.  Screenshot 2025-02-14 at 12.53.08 PM.png

 

Your teammates will be able to respond when they are available for External Link events.

Using Other Third-Party Tools

You can also use third-party tools to collaborate with your team. Just be sure that your entire team agrees upon how you will all communicate and collaborate!
