Must Read: Important Nuances with Gong Engage API

1) Rates Limits

• The Gong API has strict rate limits that may impact performance

• Gong support can increase limits on request

2) All login emails must match. 

For example, if they log into Orum using TerryRox@orum.com, they must log into Gong Engage using the same email. Otherwise, they won't be able to link accounts.

If emails do not match, you will see this error:

3) Reps must have access to Telephony Calls toggled on in Data Capture

Admin > Team Members > [Person] > Data Capture > Telephony Calls must be turned on for anyone who wants to link an Orum account to Gong Engage.

4) Ensure Export Settings are for All Calls

Admin > CRM > Telephony > Select ALL CALLs

Admin Setup - Gong Engage

1) Click on Sign in

2) Log in with another supported integration

Gong Engage API and Orum integration does not have SSO capabilities yet. You must first set up your account with another integration, and then switch to Gong.

3) Click on Settings

4) Click on + ADD A NEW INTEGRATION

5) Click on Continue with Gong Engage

6) Enter your Gong Engage API Information

Select Get API KEY

Copy and Paste your Access Key, Key Secret, and the Base API URL

7) Error Message is normal at this stage

8) Click on Dialer to access the integration tab and change to Gong Engage

9) Click on LINK ACCOUNT
