Overview

Once you have the Responsive package installed and set up on your Salesforce account you can set up Proposal Builder.

Permissions

As a prerequisite, you must have the Responsive package installed and set up on your Salesforce account. To install and configure Responsive on Salesforce, follow the instructions mentioned in the article below.

• Follow the instructions here if you are using Salesforce Classic
• Follow the instructions here if you are using Salesforce Lightning

If you have the Responsive package installed already you can skip this step.

Setting Up Proposal Builder on Salesforce

The steps involved in customizing the landing page are as follows:

• Click the App Launcher icon and select View All.
• Select Sales from the App Launcher pop-up.

Configuring Objects

Once you add the tabs to your landing page, you can customize the layout for each of these to display Responsive projects. To expand the default UI and display the Responsive projects, you can follow the steps below.

• Click the Settings icon and select Setup.
  
• From the left navigation pane, click Platform Tools > Objects and Fields > Object Manager.
  
• Click Opportunity. You can use the search box to quickly find the object you want.
  
• From the left navigation pane, click Page Layouts.
  
• Click Opportunity Layout.
  
• From Fields, select Section and drag and drop it under Opportunity Details.
  
• On the Section Properties pop-up, enter Responsive Proposal Builder in the Section Name field and select the 1-Column layout button.
  
• Click OK.
• Click Visualforce Pages, then click and drag ResponsiveProposalOpportunity and drop it into the Responsive Proposal Builder section.
  
• Once the Visualforce page has been added, click the Settings icon, or double-click on the layout, to bring up the Visualforce Page Properties pop-up.
• Type 800 in the Height (in pixels) field to add extra space when viewing the projects.
  
• Select the Show Scrollbars and/or Show Label checkboxes if applicable.
• Click OK. The layout displays as shown below.
  
• Click Save.

Repeat a similar process to edit the layouts for other object types such as Leads and Accounts.

Connecting to Responsive

After completing the setup above, you need to connect to Responsive from Salesforce in order to launch Responsive projects, associate existing projects from Responsive to Salesforce, or remove any associated projects.

• Click Connect To Responsive.
  
• Login with your Responsive credentials and click Continue.
  
• Responsive Proposal Builder section is displays as shown:
  

Once the layout is created, you can perform the following actions on Salesforce.

• Create New Proposal
• Associate Existing Proposals
• Remove Associated Proposals
• Launch Responsive’s Proposal Builder

Generate New Proposal

To create a new proposal, click New Proposal and follow the instructions mentioned in this article.

Note: Before generating a proposal, please ensure the prerequisites mentioned here are fulfilled.

Associate Proposals

Proposal Builder makes associating an existing proposal created on Responsive to an opportunity on Salesforce a breeze.

Associate Existing Proposals from Salesforce

To associate an existing proposal to an opportunity from Salesforce, follow the steps mentioned below.

Click Associate Existing Proposals.

Select the proposals and click Associate Existing Proposals.

Note: You can also bulk-select multiple proposals in Responsive and associate them to an Opportunity on Salesforce.

Associate Existing Proposal from Responsive

To associate an existing proposal to an opportunity from Responsive, follow the steps mentioned below.

Select the proposal you want to associate with an opportunity and click Edit Proposal.

Click the  icon next to the proposal name.

Find and select the opportunity you want to the proposal with using the search box and click Add to create the association.

Note: You can also associate a proposal to an opportunity while creating a proposal on responsive using the same steps mention in this section.

Proposals associated with Salesforce Opportunity are indicated by the icons as shown.

You can also see the indication on the proposal list pages.

Remove Associated Proposal

Removing Proposal Association from Salesforce

To remove association of a proposal with an opportunity, select the proposal and click Remove Associated Proposals.

To remove association of a proposal with an opportunity, click Remove Association and select the proposals. Then, click Save.

Removing Proposal Association from Responsive

To remove a proposals association from Responsive, follow the steps mentioned below.

Click the next to the proposal name.

Click Confirm on the confirmation popup.

Launch Responsive

You can click Launch Responsive to launch the application in a new tab.
