Integrating Salesforce OAuth with Responsive

Overview

Salesforce is a paid add-on feature and must be enabled prior to use. Contact the Customer Success Team, or customersuccess@responsive.io, to enable it.

Responsive supports common security standard for OAuth.

Permissions

Users must have the System Administrator privilege in Salesforce and Admin with Company Settings in Responsive to complete this process.

Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

  • Integrating Salesforce OAuth to Responsive

    1. Go to Organization Settings > Security > SSO, then click Add New.
    2. Enter a name for your SSO and select the type.
    3. Mention the scope required separated by space (ID, profile, email, address and phone).
    4. Enter a unique provider name as it will be appearing in the redirect URL and copy the redirect URL to create an app in Salesforce.
    5. In the Salesforce instance, go to Platform Tools > Setup > Apps and select App Manager.
    6. Click New Connected App in the top left.
    7. Provide the App Name and Contact Email.
    8. Under API, select Enable OAuth Settings, paste the redirect URL copied to call back URL and enter your basic information (ID, profile, email, address, phone).
    9. Click Save.
    10. Click Edit to get the Client ID from the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret to get the Client secret. and copy the values.
    11. Paste the copied values to the respective fields of the Responsive SSO configuration.
    12. Enter the below URLs in the respective fields:
      • Authorization URL - https://login.salesforce.com/services/oauth2/authorize
      • Token URL - https://login.salesforce.com/services/oauth2/token
      • User Info URL - https://login.salesforce.com/services/oauth2/userinfo
    13. Turn the OAuth toggle on, then click Save.
    14. Upon first login, click Allow to allow Responsive access to the defined scope.
    15. If Multiple SSOs are configured for your organization, choose a provider by clicking the SSO icon.
    16. Click the providers name to log in.
