Can I change leverage in the Axi Trading Platform?
Updated 4 months ago

Leverage is a mechanism to increase market exposure by borrowing capital. In effect, it means you only have to deposit a percentage of the cost of buying the position to gain full exposure; the higher the leverage, the higher the potential gains or losses.

Leverage in the Axi Trading Platform is set at a ‘product’ level, meaning each market has its own maximum leverage; this is different from MT4/MT5, where leverage is set at the ‘account’ level. As such, leverage in the Axi Trading Platform can only be selected and changed when you are placing a trade or order.

The maximum leverage varies by asset class. For example:

  • x200 for Cryptocurrencies (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum)
  • x200 for Indices (e.g,. Dow Jones, FTSE 100, S&P 500)
  • x500 for Forex (e.g,. GBPUSD, EURUSD, USDJPY)
  • x1000 for Forex and Bullions (e.g., XAUUSD, EURGBP)
