Louisiana Credentials for Importing Registration

How to locate the state-issued credentials required for importing your Louisiana registration.
Updated 2 days ago

To import your existing Louisiana sales tax registration into Kintsugi, you'll need to provide a few details issued by the Louisiana Department of Revenue when you registered your business. Louisiana manages its tax accounts across three portals depending on how your business is registered: LaTAP (Louisiana Taxpayer Access Point), Parish E-File, and the Remote Sellers portal. Once imported, Kintsugi can manage your Louisiana sales tax filings through AutoPilot.

Required Credentials

The credentials you'll need depend on which portal your Louisiana sales tax account is registered under:

LaTAP

  • Account Type

  • 10-Digit Account Number

  • ZIP Code

  • Last Payment Amount

Parish E-File

  • Email Address

  • FEIN

  • State Registered Business Name

Remote Sellers

  • Email Address

⚠️ Important: Louisiana Registration Requirements

Louisiana has up to three separate registration systems depending on how your business operates. Please read the scenario that applies to you before submitting your credentials.

If your business has a physical location in Louisiana:

You will need to register for both of the following:

  • LaTAP (Louisiana Taxpayer Access Point) — handles state-level sales tax, administered by the Louisiana Department of Revenue.

  • Parish E-File — handles local sales tax, administered at the parish level. Because Louisiana parishes collect their own sales tax separately from the state, businesses with a physical presence must file locally through Parish E-File in addition to LaTAP.

Please provide the required credentials for BOTH so Kintsugi can manage your full Louisiana sales tax obligations.

If your business sells remotely into Louisiana (no physical location):

You only need to register as a remote seller through Louisiana's remote seller registration. The only credential required is your email address.

If your business has a physical location in Louisiana and also sells remotely:

You will need to register for all three (LaTAP, Parish E-File, and the remote seller) and provide the required credentials for each.
