Louisiana – Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on the Louisiana Department of Revenue Website

This article guides you through logging in to your Louisiana Department of Revenue account and updating your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) settings. By adding Kintsugi’s secure group email, you can give us direct access to your Louisiana tax registration—eliminating the need for phone calls or repeated verification code exchanges.
✅ What You’ll Need
Louisiana Remote Seller Filing login page. Note: Louisiana State and Parish filings will be submitted through the new Parish E-File system.
Your Louisiana Department of Revenue login credentials (username & password)
🔐 Step-by-Step Instructions
Log in to your Louisiana Department of Revenue account.
Go to the LaTAP website.
Enter your credentials and click “Log in.”
On the next page, click on “More options” to continue.
Select the third option, “Get an email with your security code at [email address].”
Verify the security code.
4.1. Check your email for the security code.
4.2. Enter the security code.
4.3. Click the “Confirm” button to continue.
Go to “Manage My Profile”
Go to the “Two-Step Verification Settings.”
6.1 Under the “Security” section, look for “Two-Step Verification Settings.”
6.2 Click on “Change Two-Step Settings.”
On the next page, click on “Add Email.”
Enter your Virtual Mail Group ID from the Kintsugi App
8.1 Log in to your Kintsugi account.
8.2 Navigate to: Configuration > Kintsugi Mail > Virtual Mail Group > Group ID
8.3 Enter your Virtual Mail Group ID on LaTAP’s “Add Email” page and click the “Save” button.
