Enabling Third-Party Access in Vermont

Instructions for enabling third-party access in the myVTax Portal.

This guide walks you through the steps to enable third-party access in your myVTax account. These permissions must be enabled so Kintsugi can access your registration data and complete the Vermont registration import.


Step 1: Access Your Account from the Vermont State Portal

  1. Go to myVTax.

  2. Enter your credentials and click “Log In.”

Step 2: Click on “I Want To” to proceed

Step 3: Manage 3P Access

  1. Look for the “Access Management” section.

  2. Click on “Manage Third Party Access.”

Step 4: Manage Customer Access

  1. Look at the “Manage Access” section.

  2. In the “Third Party Logons” section, click the “Add or Update Access” hyperlink.

Step 5: Add Third-Party Access for Kintsugi

  1. Add Kintsugi details:

    1. Third Party Username: KintsugiVT

    2. Name: Kintsugi AI

  2. For access, choose “Allow only this login to access my account(s).”

  3. Click the “Next” button to continue.

Step 6: Define Access for Sales and Use Tax Account

  1. For the question: “Which tax years do you wish to grant access to for your Sales and Use Tax Account,” select “All Periods.”

  2. For “Access Levels,” choose “View, File Returns, and Make.”

  3. Click “Submit” to finish the process.

Step 7: Request Confirmation

  1. Kintsugi will receive a confirmation of the third-party access you granted it.

  2. Click “Ok.”

  3. Log out of your account.
