This article explains what’s required from you when importing Vermont registration in Kintsugi. We will also help you understand what the Vermont State Tax ID is, where to find it, and how to confirm you’re using the correct identifier for your existing Vermont sales tax account. 


Required Credentials

When importing an existing Vermont sales tax registration into Kintsugi, you’ll need at least two things:

  1. The official business name registered within the state

  2. Vermont State Tax ID


What is my VT State Tax ID? 

Your Vermont State Tax ID is the certificate number assigned by the state when your business registered for a sales tax license. It is an 11-character identifier that starts with SUT, followed by 8 digits, in the format: SUT-12345678


Where to find my State Tax ID?

There are at least two ways to find your state tax ID. You can find it in any of the following:

  1. Notices received from the Vermont Department of Taxes.

  2. MyVtax help hotline: (802)-828-6802.
