Accurate product categorization is the foundation of sales tax compliance, as different jurisdictions apply varying rates and exemptions to specific items—such as digital software versus physical hardware. To ensure your tax mapping remains perfectly aligned with evolving state regulations and your growing product line, we recommend periodically reviewing and updating your product categories.
