Why does my Colorado filing still show as "Due" in Revenue Online?

This article explains why your Colorado filing may still appear as due in Revenue Online after Kintsugi has already submitted it through SUTS
Updated 27 days ago

If Kintsugi has already filed your Colorado return but it still appears as due in the Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR) Revenue Online portal, this is expected and doesn't mean there's a problem with your filing.

Why does this happen?

Colorado has self-administered city taxes, which means your filing is submitted through the Colorado Sales & Use Tax System (SUTS) portal rather than directly through Revenue Online. Because these are two separate systems, there can be a delay before Revenue Online reflects the updated status. This syncing lag is normal and outside of Kintsugi's control.

What you can do in the meantime

You don't need to wait for Revenue Online to update to confirm your filing was completed. You can download proof of filing directly from the Kintsugi app, including:

  • A copy of the filed return

  • The filing confirmation from SUTS

These documents serve as official proof that your filing was submitted on time.
