This article walks you through how to log into Kentucky Department of Revenue (DOR) account and update your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) settings. Adding Kintsugi’s secure group email allows us to access your Kentucky tax registration directly—no phone calls or back-and-forth codes needed.

Log into the Kentucky DOR portal
Go to https://mytaxes.ky.gov/
Log in using your account credentials, click “Log In Now”

Enter your “Username” then click “Next”

Enter your password and click “Verify”

Check your email then copy the verification code.
Go back to Kentucky DOR website, click “Enter Verification Code Instead”

Enter (paste) the verification code, and click “Verify”.

Go to your account settings
Once logged in, click “OK” to proceed.

b. Then click the "Log Out" button to be redirected to Kentucky’s My Apps Dashboard.
c. Once you are on the My Apps Dashboard, click the upward-pointing arrow beside your name and navigate to "Settings."
d. Click the "Edit" button in the "Personal Information" section.
Update your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) method
Access the Virtual Mail Group (VMG) ID within the Kintsugi app.
Navigate to: Configuration > Kintsugi Mail > Virtual Mail Group > Group ID
Copy the VMG ID:

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Please make sure to add your personal or work email in the Virtual Mail Group. This is to ensure you continuously receive important updates and messages from state portals. Simply paste the Virtual Group Mail ID you copied from the Kintsugi platform into the primary email field below. After entering the required information, click the "Save" button.
Verify the change
A verification code will be sent to the email address you linked to Kintsugi’s Virtual Mail Group (VMG)
Copy the verification code that was sent to the email—the one you added or connected in the Virtual Mail Group. Then, paste it into the website or portal to verify and complete the 2FA setup.
Once verified, your account is now connected, and Kintsugi can access it as needed.
