Managing tax registrations across multiple states can be challenging. This guide walks you through how to easily import your existing registrations into Kintsugi and what to do if you hit a snag.
Navigation Path: Log in > Registrations > Import > Complete the form > Save

b. If You Are Not Registered Through SST: Proceed with Step 5.
Enter the following information in the Import Registration Form that will prompt on your screen.

Contact Your State’s Department of Revenue
Reach out to your state’s Department of Revenue (DOR) and request your business tax login credentials (username and password).
👉 You can find their contact information here: State Department of Revenue Phone Numbers If you already have an account but forgot your credentials, ask the DOR to reset your username or password.
Provide Your Most Recent Filed Return
If the state can’t recover or reset your credentials, reach out to your Kintsugi Onboarding Manager or Customer Success Manager.
You can provide a PDF copy of your last filed return, which usually includes your Taxpayer ID or Sales Tax ID. These details help us link your state account.
Enabling third-party access to Kintsugi gives permission where Kintsugi can connect to your account and complete the registration import process.
There are states where Kintsugi can initiate and complete the third-party enablement in the state portal on your behalf. However, there are state which requires action from your end. Please refer to specific guides below:

If you're registered in a state that isn't flagged as a nexus state, Kintsugi may not automatically detect it.
