Filing frequency refers to how often your business is required to file and remit sales tax to a state. Your assigned frequency is determined by the state based on your sales volume and tax liability.
Your filing frequency will be one of the following:
Monthly – Sales tax is filed and remitted every month.
Quarterly – Filed every three months.
Quarterly Prepayment – Quarterly filing with prepayments made throughout the quarter.
Semi-Annually – Filed twice a year.
Annually – Filed once a year.
Annual Fiscal Year – Filed annually, based on your fiscal year rather than the calendar year.
Semi-Monthly – Filed twice a month.
Bi-Monthly – Filed every two months.
Four Monthly – Filed every four months.
At the moment, the option to view your filing frequency directly in the app is NOT YET AVAILABLE. We’re working on bringing this feature to you in the future. In the meantime, our customer experience team can look this up for you and provide the information you need.
