How to Bulk Export Transactions and Filings Across All States

Learn how to bulk export your transactions and filings across all states in the Kintsugi app.
Updated 3 months ago

Kintsugi allows you to export transaction and filing data across all states in a single file. This is helpful if you need to review filings in bulk, reconcile sales tax activity across multiple jurisdictions, or share transaction records with your accounting team or auditor.

You do not need to download one state at a time. You can export across all states by selecting the country and leaving the jurisdiction field blank.

Export Transactions Across All States

To export transactions for all states:

  1. Log in to your Kintsugi account.

  2. Go to the Transactions tab.

Kintsugi will generate a single .xlsx file and it will be sent to your email.

The file includes transaction data across all states for the selected country. The exported file will include separate tabs for each state, making it easier to review or reconcile data by jurisdiction in one workbook.

Export Filings Across All States

You can also export filing data across states from the Filings tab.

To export filings:

  1. Go to the Filings tab.

The file will be sent to the registered email address.

This allows you to download filing information across multiple jurisdictions without having to export the filings for each state individually.

When Should I Use a Bulk Export?

Bulk exports are useful when you need to:

  • Review transaction data across multiple states

  • Reconcile collected tax, taxable sales, and filing data

  • Share a comprehensive workbook with your accounting team

  • Provide transaction records to auditors

  • Compare filing data across jurisdictions

  • Avoid downloading separate files for each state

Why Am I Seeing Multiple Tabs in the Exported File?

When you export transactions across all states, Kintsugi generates a single Excel workbook with a separate tab for each state.

This allows you to keep all jurisdiction-level data in one file while still reviewing each state individually.

Do I Need to Select a Jurisdiction?

No. The Jurisdiction field is optional.

To export data across all states, select the Country and leave the Jurisdiction field blank.

If you only want data for a specific state, select that state in the jurisdiction field before exporting.

What If the Export Does Not Include the Data I Need?

If your export does not include the data, filters, or format you need, contact the Kintsugi team for help.

When reaching out, please include:

  • Whether you are exporting from the Transactions tab or the Filings tab

  • The country and date range selected

  • Whether you selected a specific jurisdiction or left it blank

  • The type of data you expected to see

  • Any filters applied before exporting

This will help our team confirm whether the existing export supports your use case or whether additional assistance is needed.
