Q: Who can I add to a chat or session?
Anyone in your workspace. If the person is not in the workspace yet, admins can invite them directly; non-admins are prompted to ask an admin.
Q: Can I add someone in the middle of an active session?
Yes. You can add people at any time. In chats, you can choose how much history to share with the new participant.
Q: Will my local files get uploaded automatically?
No. Your Working Folder is always private to you. Only files Computer has generated during a session, or edited from your uploaded files, are shared — and only after you explicitly invite someone, at which point you see a clear notification.
Q: What happens if two people edit the same shared file?
Edits are sequential — last write wins. The edit history shows who changed what and when, so there is full traceability. You can ask Computer to roll back to a previous version at any time.
Q: Can Computer see my teammate's private files?
No. Each person's Working Folder is visible only to them and to Computer when they are the one asking. Computer can synthesize from private context into shared files but will never expose another user's raw private files.
Q: Does multiplayer work across web, mobile, and desktop?
Chats are fully synced across all surfaces. Sessions can be continued on web and mobile interchangeably, and are available in read-only mode on the desktop app. Sessions started on the desktop app can only be continued there. Desktop-specific features — shared files, the Working Folder, and Safe Mode — are only available in the Computer desktop app.
Q: Why isn't Computer responding in my group chat?
In a multiplayer chat, Computer only replies when explicitly @mentioned with @computer. Normal messages between participants do not trigger it.
Q: Can I rename or delete a multiplayer chat?
Yes. Any participant can rename or delete the chat, and the change is reflected for all participants. To rename a chat:
Open the chat and click the chat name at the top.
Type the new name and press Enter to save.
To delete a chat, open the chat menu (⋯) and select Delete chat. Deletion is permanent and removes the chat for all participants.
